This Gif consists of 20 images of a Green Monster who turns twice. Note: the hair changes slightly in every image. The stop-motion animation was compiled in Photoshop and shot with an iPhone 12.

This Gif celebrates Halloween with two cauldrons lit by a spooky fire effect that gives off an eerie red glow. The 12 photos were shot with an iPhone 12 and each image is up for 2 seconds. Any longer and it was too choppy. Any shorter, it just didn't look right.

Next time, I will use my tripod to keep movement to a minimal. The flickering fire looks great but the moving background is distracting. I did use the feature that centers a Gif in Photoshop. This helped but not enough. So the next time I do this, I will use tripod and hopefully that will fix the problem.

This hand drawn animation of a New Mexico roadrunner consists of 7 images drawn as a single continuous line. Known as contour drawing, it has no shading, and no shadows. My study sketches, done with an extra fine point Sharpie marker, captured more detail. Since the camera could not pick up that fine line, a thicker fine point marker worked better.

The Gif was compiled in Photoshop and shot with an iPhone 12 on a tripod. Painter's tape adhered the drawing to a light table with painter' tape. It was propped up with various heavy objects to keep the animation perpendicular to the camera and tumbling to a heap on the floor.

This is one of my study sketches for the roadrunner animation. Drawn with an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie Permanent Marker, it has a very rich, deep black line. Several studies were done to plan out where to stop the drawing to take a shot. This ultra-fine line lends itself to more artistic drawing because the fluid easily flows out of the tip. The other Fine Point Sharpie was more clunky, hiding the subtle detail captured in this drawing.
